Thank You

A few days ago Mars of the Positive Toxicity let me know that she has nominated me for the “Versatile Blogger Award”.  As I told her at that time, I am beyond words grateful for this nomination, I am honored and humbled by it.

I started publishing posts on this blog because I needed a way to escape my stressful, daily work and, reading and writing about the things I enjoy helped me relieve some of that tension. Therefore, it was mostly for selfish reasons and when I see that so many of you visit and find some relief in these posts, my heart grows in volume and my happiness with it. This is plenty of reward and I am very grateful for it.

I would like to say thank you to Mars for nominating me and thank you to all of you for visiting this site. Your visits have led me to a number of wonderful blogs that I read constantly and enjoy very much.

I am not familiar with the “Versatile Blogger Award”, but this is what I do know about it: each nominee shares fifteen favorite blogs and discloses seven completely random facts about themselves. It is an interesting idea. I can see the positive in knowing what other blogs your readers enjoy and as I have discovered, finding seven things that define you is an exercise in self-awareness.

The blogs that I read and find captivating (the order is completely random):

Now for the seven random facts:

1. I collect hobbies.
2. I am pretty stubborn; just ask my father or my husband.
3. I buy a book after every paycheck.
4. I read a lot, two-three books at the time.
5. I constantly wish my days were 48 hours long.
6. I strongly believe I was Italian in a past life.
7. I find happiness in every little thing.

Until next time,

Bodhi.

  5. Thank you so much for including me in your list! I feel very touched. I haven’t been blogging for long but it’s already brought a lot of joy and sense of connectedness. Look forward to reading more of your posts. From the Amsterdam Oriole!

    • There is absolutely no need to thank me, Susan! It is very well deserved and I am the one who is grateful for having so many beautiful things to read, from so many parts of the world.

      Have a wonderful day!

  6. Thank you so so so much for thinking of me! I love that you find happiness in every little thing. :) I think that’s the secret about life and when we open up to all the goodies surrounding us each day, we are more aware of the miracles that fill our world.

You buy a book after every paycheck? I think that’s a great idea. What is your very favorite book?

Thanks again and have a lovely day,
    Currie

    • Hi Currie,

Thank you so much for the visit!

Yes, I do buy a book … or two, every two weeks. I dream of covering the walls in my house with books I have read and loved.

My favorite author is Simone de Beauvoir. So, I would have to say…. “All Men Are Mortal”. But, there are so many more and I already feel guilty for not picking them: Giuseppe de Lampedusa – ‘The Leopard”, Albert Camus – “The Plague”…..

      Have a wonderful, wonderful day!

      • You’re welcome!

Oh man, when I have a dwelling space again someday, I dream of covering at least one wall with shelves of books and there will be a rolling ladder along my wall so that I may reach my books. :)

I will check at least one of these reads out. Thank you!

        Have a great week,
        Currie
