I have to admit that I am not a big fan of Gothic fashion. My days are generally brimming with things to do and they can easily turn stressful and even unhappy. Consequently, I make every effort to bring cheer and brightness into my life thought all possible channels: attitude, dress code, beauty routine, musical choices and gastronomic intake. Black lips and a black tragic attire are usually not making the cut, especially during spring.
In keeping with this week’s theme though, I made an exception. After seeing this outfit on the Givenchy Spring / Summer 2012 runway, I decided that a dark ensemble is not completely out of question for a spring evening as long as it maintains a slim, feminine, and elegant line, and it can be assembled at a relatively lower cost than the original.
